Natalie Chandler started her 15-year career of tattooing by practicing on her friends with a cheesy start-up kit.
Originally from El Paso, Texas, Natalie has been tattooing in San Francisco since 1992. Natalie
and a business partner opened Black and Blue Tattoo in January 1996, which has won “Best Tattoo Shop” in the San Francisco Guardian's “Best of the Bay” contest for three years, including 2005 and 2006.
Natalie is an accomplished artist whose work has been published in industry magazines and featured on CDs, public paintings, and some celebrities. She has worked all over the world, and has more than 5,000 tattoos under her belt.
Her specialties are in commissioned original artwork, cover-ups, traditional style and full color pieces.
Her favorite part of the job is working with people, and she takes great care in making sure that every tattoo is worthy of being with someone for a lifetime.
She is currently in the process of opening her own shop in Oakland, CA and training in traditional Maori (Moko) tattoo art.
